Zoning Board of Appeals

The Zoning Board of Appeals is a quasi-judicial body of seven (7) members appointed by the City Council to serve a three (3) year term. Their principal function is:

  • To hear and decide appeals of administrative decisions made in implementing the zoning ordinance.
  • To hear and decide requests for variances from the strict terms of the zoning ordinance.
  • To interpret the provisions of the zoning ordinance.

The Zoning Board of Appeals meets on the third (3rd) Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 47450 Woodward Avenue, Pontiac, MI 48342
