The Deputy Mayor's assists the Mayor in overseeing operations. In cases of Mayoral absence or temporary disability, the Deputy Mayor performs the duties of Mayor. The Deputy Mayor is appointed by the Mayor, with the approval of the council.
The Executive Department Administrative Support Staff organizes the calendars of the executive staff and generates correspondence and literature. They also receive calls from residents and direct phone calls and complaints to the appropriate party.
