The Legislative Counsel is a licensed attorney that serves as a strategic advisor to the Pontiac City Council; develops and implements the Council’s policy agenda, conducts major policy reviews, makes recommendations on policy issues and provides high level support to the City Council by coordinating communication, activities and programs between different departments, agencies and community groups, conducting project assignments and special studies concerning a wide variety of problems involving legislative functions.
