You have choices about drug or alcohol use. In addition to being illegal, DRUGS  AND ALCOHOL FORM HABITS AND CAN KILL. There is no way to know in advance how drugs or alcohol will affect you. They can cause permanent damage, even if it's your first time.

If you or someone you care about has a problem with alcohol or drugs, it's important to educate yourself about how to help them and how to help yourself. You can also talk about your feelings with someone who listens to you: your parents, your school counselor, or someone who has special knowledge about alcoholism or chemical dependence.
