Biography: Councilman Brett Nicholson is a resident of the Seminole Hills, Historic District, and a small business owner in Downtown Pontiac, having purchased the Liberty Bar (Pontiac’s longest operating business and Oakland Counties longest operating Bar and Restaurant). Nicholson owns and operates a human resource consulting firm, helping organizations realize their potential through establishing strong policy and human capital management strategies--a skill that became incredibly valuable amid a largely unstaffed city hall. He graduated from Oakland University where he studied Human Resources. His former professional roles include Vice President of Employment with Flagstar Bank, Chief Operating Officer at The Community House and serving as Chief Talent Officer at Jewish Family Service. Councilman Nicolson was elected to represent City Council District Two in November 2021 to a four-year term expiring on January 1, 2025. Councilman Nicholson may be contacted via email at: BNicholson@pontiac.mi.us or by telephone at (248) 758-3027 |
