Lane Closures on West Huron (M-59) Between Cherokee and Johnson

Beginning Monday, May 6, 2024 and ending June 10, 2024, the two eastbound lanes of West Huron St. (M-59) between Cherokee St. and Johnson Ave. will be closed as part of the Seminole Hills Water Main Improvements project.   East-bound traffic will be diverted to the left-turn lane during the closure.

Construction Begins May 20th - Auburn Ave. from S. Tasmania to S. Francis St.

roadconstructionConsumer’s is scheduling a project on Auburn Ave from S Tasmania St to S Francis St to repair a gas line in poor condition. The northernmost lane on Auburn will be closed along this section on an as needed basis. This would be the right lane for westbound traffic.

The work is expected to begin approximately 5/20 but we are still awaiting a final schedule which we are anticipating next week. We will give you updates as we get them.

Road Construction will begin on Monday, April 15, 2024 on Square Lake Road. Although construction will not occur in the City of Pontiac, detours along M-59 and Woodward Avenue will significantly affect traffic.

Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Closed at CN/GTW Bridge

Due to a need for critical structural repairs, Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. will be closed at the CN/GTW bridge for vehicular and pedestrian traffic until repairs can be completed. MLK Jr. Blvd will remain open between Woodward Ave. and the bridge, but will be closed between the bridge and South Blvd. E.
Detour:
WESTBOUND SOUTH BLVD.: South Blvd. to Woodward Ave. From  Woodward Ave. south back to ML King Blvd. Ave.
EASTBOUND SOUTH BLVD.:: Northbound Woodward Avenue to South Blvd.
